In 2014 the season of shareholder engagement promises to be intense for Etica Sgr: in addition to last year issues, such as human rights respect and supply chain, Etica will devote particular attention to environmental issues.
We are going to participate to the AGM (Annual General Meeting) of Italian and international companies by focusing on the issue of climate change and global warming, and asking for a more transparent accountability on gas emissions. In addition, we are going to solicit the use of environmental criteria in the selection and monitoring of suppliers. We will also ask to insert environmental objectives in the definition of the variable part of the remuneration of top managers. Last but not least, we are going to ask to provide an efficiently use of water in production processes and, for companies of the food sector, to engage in sustainable practices for the environment and human health, adopting effective systems for traceability of all ingredients.
