For the first time, Etica Sgr attended the Company’s meeting on April 15, 2011 in Milan. Etica Sgr voted at each item on the agenda in shareholders’ meeting with a positive vote and asked for more effort in the preparation of Sustainability Report and the creation of Corporate Responsibility unit. On human rights subject, reminding the Company’s presence in countries presenting particular problems, Etica Sgr underlined the need to adopt a written human rights policy on a global level and adequate management, monitoring and reporting tools. Etica Sgr also invited Prysmian to continue in the process of obtaining the Workers Health and Safety management system (OHSAS 18001) in all its sites. About environmental problems Etica asked to be more careful especially in these countries where environmental regulation is less advanced. Finally, Prysmian’s attention has been asked on the processes of women recruitment in top management with the goal of a better balance in gender representation within the company.
