On April 13, 2011 Etica Sgr participated for the first time to the Piaggio’s general meeting, in Milan. it voted at each item on the agenda in shareholders’ meeting with a positive vote. Etica appreciated the drafting of the Sustainability Report, adopted in accordance with the guidelines of the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative). It also invited the Company to achieve a more balanced gender representation on the Board of Directors and a separation of the role of Chairman from CEO’s one. On the human rights issue, Etica Sgr suggested the introduction of monitoring criteria of the social and environmental responsibility in the supply chain. Piaggio was also invited to continue the process of obtaining the Workers Healts and Safety management system (OHSAS 18001 certification), suggesting the extension of the certification abroad.
