“The 300 Best Funds” is the name of the guide that CFS Rating publishes each year on the best asset management firms. CFS Rating, specialised in financial analysis, for this guide analyses over 12,000 products authorised for sale in Italy. Accordingly, the Annuary represents an important support tool for investors and industry players who need to navigate the fast universe of investment funds.
Three prizes in three categories
Etica Rendita Bilanciata, Etica Bilanciato and Etica Obbligazionario Misto were included among the 300 best funds in the 2021 rankings. The selection is based on the Rating obtained by the UCIs with at least 36 months of quotations in their categories.
Etica Rendita Bilanciata is among the top funds in the “Balanced – Bond Orientation” category. It is a fund that aims to grow invested capital by favouring exposure to bond markets, while also seizing opportunities that present themselves on equity markets. It is recommended for those interested in investing responsibly over a medium-to-long-term time horizon and with a medium risk level, in accordance with environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria.
Etica Bilanciato is among the best funds in the “Balanced – Equity Orientation” category. It is a fund that aims to grow invested capital over the medium-to-long term with a medium-to-high risk level. It is recommended for those who wish to seize the opportunities of equity markets while balancing them with a sound bond foundation, in accordance with environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria.
Etica Obbligazionario Misto is among the best funds in the “Mixed Bond” category. It is a fund that seeks to grow invested capital gradually by accompanying a sound bond foundation with a search for value in equity markets. It is recommended for those interested in investing responsibly over a medium-term time horizon and with a medium-to-low risk level, in accordance with environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria.
Etica Obbligazionario Misto and Etica Bilanciato: best funds over 10 years
CFS Rating also included Etica Obbligazionario Misto and Etica Bilanciato in its rankings of best funds over 10 years.
The “Best Fund over 10 years” category identifies the best funds with track records of over 10 years within the special rankings of the most efficient funds over ten years distributed in Italy. This important recognition was awarded for the third consecutive year in the Balanced – Equity Orientation category and for the fourth consecutive year in the Mixed Bonds category.
To identify the Best Fund Over 10 Years, CFS Rating proposed an efficiency indicator based on the calculation of the Modified Sharpe Ratio used to prepare the ratings, extended to a longer-term horizon. Performance is measured net of inflation and corrected for volatility. Rankings are thus created for each CFS category and the first 5 or 10 products (depending on the size of the category) are considered.
