What are mutual funds?
Mutual funds are financial instruments that allow individual investors to entrust the management of their wealth to companies (Sgr) specialized in collective investment, optimizing costs and risks.
Asset management companies can take a more diversified approach to investment than is possible by the individual and can reduce financial risk because the capital is spread among the many securities (equities or bonds) that make up the various funds.
Each fund’s assets are divided into parts called quotas, which investors subscribe in proportion to the capital invested. The unit value of each quota rises or falls depending on the financial results of the securities present in the fund portfolio.
